STORYLINE:
An Israeli strike that hit a family home in the Nuseirat refugee camp on Sunday killed at least two girls, according to an Associated Press journalist who counted the bodies and eye-witnesses.

Gaza’s civil defense first-responders were still trying to retrieve the remaining members of the Eid family from the rubble late Sunday, using hammers to break through the debris.

After finding two arms, they broke through the piles of stone and metal to discover a child’s body.

A neighbor of the family said that a total of seven people who lived in the Eid family house had died, including two women and four children.

The bodies of two children and a man remained trapped in the building, he said.

At the Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, the two little girls were wrapped in white shrouds before funeral prayers as per Islamic tradition.
