STORYLINE:
Israel’s military said some 30 missiles were fired from Lebanon early Sunday targeting areas on the northern border.
The military said it intercepted most of the projectiles but did not engage to destroy the ones falling into open areas.
No injuries were reported.
Video footage captured by the Associated Press showed Israeli-fired missiles intercepting incoming projectiles fired from Lebanon.
Tensions remain high between Israel and Hezbollah with frequent exchanges of fire.
