"Siemens is a brand that stands for technology, Innovation and design. So we’re focusing also here at IFA, our launches, our novelties and innovations, on new technology such as AI supported dish recognition or food recognition features in our appliances. A new fridge that offers just more space and more capabilities, and new laundry care products and dish care products that just have more to offer. More technology, fantastic design and our test winners."

14. SOUNDBITE (English) Katja Wendel, Head of Marketing, Siemens Home Appliances, Central Europe:
"Fruit recognition is a feature that is powered by a camera and artificial intelligence. So just imagine you have a dish, let’s say veggies, and you put those veggies into the oven. You just close the door. The oven detects the dish and automatically gives you the right recommendation for the program to use. So you don’t really have to think about anything. You just have to press okay."

14. SOUNDBITE (English) Katja Wendel, Head of Marketing, Siemens Home Appliances, Central Europe:
"Kitchens in the future will be the most helpful company that you can have. So it will be a companion. It will be detecting in advance what you need, so it listens to you. It will refer to what you need and it will respond to it. So it will make it as comfortable and as convenient as possible. And I think we are already on a very good point right now. And in five years, I think especially artificial intelligence enabled features will move forward. So it will be even more convenient."
