“We believe that the Kursk operation may also impact this area, where there may be a reduction in escalation due to a reduction in Russian troop numbers. But so far, we see that it is difficult there, and the most combat-ready Russian brigades have been concentrated in this area because it has always been their main target – Donbas, the complete, total occupation of Donbas, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. "We are still continuing at the training center, training pilots. We are still in the middle of a process of delivering F-16s to Ukraine. So we try to speed it up every time. And the same is true about Patriot systems together with our partners. So we do everything we can to speed it up. And I think in relation to your question and I think there was a senator in the United States who mentioned that maybe you could use experienced pilots from the F-16 from other countries. And that would be an interesting idea, because then you can just speed up the process of deploying the F-16s. But we have to look into those things, with all the countries involved with the F-16 coalition."

STORYLINE:
Dutch leader Dick Schoof has been discussing the Kursk operation and F-16 deliveries during a visit to Ukraine.
Schoof, visiting Ukraine for the first time since taking office, travelled with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the city of Zaporizhzhia, just 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the front line.
During a press conference Schoof evoked a plan floated last month by Republican U.S. Sen. Lindsay Graham to let retired F-16 pilots from other countries join the fight in Ukraine.
“That would be an interesting idea, because then you can just speed up the process of deploying the F-16s."
But he added that it would have to be discussed with the countries involved with the F-16 coalition.
