"I’m a young man from the Triqui nation who is very interested in representing what my community is, its festivities and traditions, and above all, taking it and expressing it on different stages where people can get to know us. When you look up the Triqui community on the internet, a lot of things are going to come up regarding the things that are commonly known about us, which are some of the problems we have. But I come here to talk about what’s within my community. The celebrations, the craftsmanship, the children."

STORYLINE:
Carlos CGH es un músico oaxaqueño de 24 años que pretende conservar su lengua materna a través del rap contemporáneo.
El rapero – cuyo nombre completo es Carlos Guadalupe Hernández – es descendiente del pueblo triqui, y sus versos reflejan su cultura.
El triqui es una lengua que forma parte de la familia de las lenguas mixtecanas que se habla en Oaxaca, y tiene cuatro variantes. Una de esas variantes, el Xnánj nu’ a, es del pueblo natal de Guadalupe, San Juan Copala.
Con cerca de una decena de idiomas indígenas, Oaxaca ha nutrido una escena de rap diversa. Entre los compañeros de Guadalupe hay raperos que se enorgullecen de hacer rimas en mixteco, zapoteco, cuicateco y otras lenguas.
Recientemente, Carlos CGH se presentó en una celebración de los pueblos indígenas en la plaza central de la Ciudad de México.
