A beloved and trailblazing animal has died. SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium in Australia reports Sphen, one half of a same-sex gentoo penguin couple that hatched an egg, has died at the age of 12. Sphen and his partner Magic made headlines in 2018 when they were given an egg to incubate after aquarium staff members noticed their strong bond. They were dubbed a penguin power couple and took to parenting naturally. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
