President Biden received a four-minute standing ovation at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The adulation brought President Biden to tears. Biden’s daughter, Ashley, wowed everyone with her introduction. Biden’s grandchildren watched from the stands and then later joined him onstage. The handover from Biden to Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, was sealed with an embrace, with her telling Biden, "I love you so much."
