There were doggy paddles and a little sunbathing while some of the most deserving dogs got a little relief from the summer heat. Pups from Wisconsin’s Marathon County Humane Society got their own pool party. About 25 dogs got to live out their poolside fantasies on a warm August day. The pool is opened to the shelter dogs the day after it closes for the summer season to humans. Humane Society officials hope this social interaction will get the shelter dogs prepared for their forever homes.
