Iran’s state media reported loud explosions in the sky near Isfahan city. Tehran said air defense systems at a nearby military base and nuclear facility were activated.
Two US officials told CBS News that a suspected Israeli missile struck Iran overnight. A spokesman for Iran’s space agency said several drones had been intercepted, but claimed that there had been no missile attack. The International Atomic Energy Agency added that no Iranian nuclear facilities were damaged. The Israeli government has not officially commented on the incident.
