Apparently all my friends and family are, but but no, I think there were, probably many that were, because I don’t think there’s many people that they were expecting to attend, but I, I’m not I see tons of tons of police out there. And when you think about all I expected, more counter protesters, all we have is that crazy back there. And that’s really not very many, considering."

"To be honest, I don’t think something will happen here, but I do have elevated concerns after Saturday, of course. And, I think Saturday evening, planning to come here the next day. I was concerned about what the atmosphere might be like, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to see that there looks to me to be ample security. And inside the perimeter there looks to be people who are comfortable to be here."

STORYLINE:
Republican National Convention attendees and even one protester say the large security presences in downtown Milwaukee makes them feel secure.
The convention is happening less than two days after an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania rally.
Saturday’s shooting at a Pennsylvania rally, where Trump was injured and one man died, was not far from delegates’ minds and even from one protester’s mind.
"It was a little bit, a little bit edgy because you’re, you know, you think if something were to happen, it would be here," said Katie Reeves, Milwaukee resident and RNC volunteer.
"But then when I saw the increased presence, I’m really not particularly concerned."
Protesters gathered near the convention for a march Monday and one woman said she felt secure and was not concerned.
"I think there were, probably many that were, because I don’t think there as many people that they were expecting to attend, but I, I’m not. I see tons of tons of police out there," said Ranay Blanford, a protester from Appleton, Wisconsin.
