So what happened was I came back to the bullpen are to where, you know, we were sitting. Because we were all sitting in different sections, and I was on the ground level because I was a speaker and I had VIP sections cordoned off for us to sit in. I come back, I go to sit down, take my jacket off, and we hear a succession of ,of what seem to be fireworks at first. And I tell you, you know, how fast firecrackers go off, so by the time I hit the second firecracker, I realized that it was a gunshot and not firecrackers. So I got up, I tried to, I yelled for people to get down. Everyone saw I get down. You know, everyone’s panicking about what’s going on because you’re like, hey, we’re at a rally. We do think that, you know, there will be some protest, you know? But we don’t think anything’s going to happen that’s egregious and life threatening. And then as soon as it happens, people are panicking, kids are panicking, adults are panicking. And I felt it was my job to, you know, kind of get everyone to calm down and at the same time that this is going on, adrenaline took over and someone said we need a medic. And I turned around to see people pointing to a gentleman who I found now is deceased, that a medic is needed. And there was no one in the area that could assist this individual. So I got on my seat. I moved my chairs out of the way, and I jumped over the, the barricade, and I ran up to the bleachers where the gentleman had just been shot through the head. And I do want to say that I, I truly, I truly pray for the family that this happened too, because I know right now, this is a catastrophic, situation. Yes, you know, I dealt with it, and I can compartmentalize it and deal with it moving forward. But this is a family who came together and now is leaving separate."

"It was an experience that I would never wish on anyone. You can be my worst adversary in the world, and I would never wish for you to see that because it takes a different toll. It’s something I have to deal with in my life now moving forward. But. Anyways. It’s unbelievable. Right? I mean, you can’t imagine, you know, coming to this event and there’s excitement. Everyone’s like working together. No one’s fighting, no one’s yelling, no one’s screaming. And then all of a sudden, chaos. So it was. It’s a traumatic experience."

Donald Trump’s campaign says he is “fine” after what law enforcement officials are treating as an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Officials say the suspected gunman and at least one attendee are dead, while two spectators were critically injured.
He said he prays for the man’s family.
