(Reporter: what are kind of your thoughts on the melting and all that? Because actually the, they had the head on, but it was like, so far leaned back that eventually, just like, fell. It didn’t fall, they took it out.)
"You know, they removed it, yes. Well, you got to do something like that to, to save it, you know, and not just let it go into ruin and stuff like that so. But I think it’s a neat, neat art installation, and, I understand that it’s actually, an actual candle, too."
7. Med sign reading (English) "The head has temporarily been removed for repair. Thank you."

"Like I said, I’ve lived in the city for 53 years. I’ve lived the first ten years here with no air conditioning, if you can believe that, because I grew up in new Jersey, we didn’t have air conditioning, so to me, that was normal. It’s Washington, D.C., it’s summertime do the math. It’s going to be hot. If you don’t like it, move to Vermont."

STORYLINE:
As the east coast continues to be impacted by the summer heat wave, the wax statue of 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, started melt.

Staff members of the art instillation removed the head and placed a sign reading, "The head has temporarily been removed for repair. Thank you."
Washington D.C., like so many cities in the U.S., are experiencing massive heat that are impacting Americans across the country.
