"We are affected by the issue of evaluation. We are already qualified, but imagine if in a classroom with 30 children, one or two have a disability or a learning barrier, the teacher is going to fail their evaluation. They (government) are not looking at that. They are evaluating us in haste, looking for (the) Advancement (plan), some external and internal tests, but not by the pedagogy inside a classroom.

Más de 22.000 maestros de instituciones estatales protestaron el lunes en las calles de Bogotá para exigir al Congreso que no apruebe una ley de iniciativa gubernamental que reglamenta el sistema educativo.
Las protestas presionan a un Congreso que tiene en sus manos una propuesta educativa que regula el derecho fundamental a la educación desde el preescolar hasta el nivel universitario.
Define el modelo educativo y su financiación y el sindicato no está de acuerdo con que se reconozca que el sistema educativo se compone de los sectores público, privado y mixto, porque temen que recursos estatales sean destinados a privados. También piden que sea incluida la obligatoriedad de la educación preescolar y se elimine un criterio de evaluación.
