"It is obvious that America talks about the two-state solution when it is implementing the one-state solution, a solution that is dominated by Israel, a solution that sees Israel as a prevailing state without any rights to the Palestinians. So what we are seeing is a total denial of the rights of Palestinians. And America does not walk the talk, but rather prolongs pain and is responsible for any further bloodshed that is to take shape in the coming few weeks since the decision has been so painful to the Palestinians, and has deterred from the objective of the entire process and the project of the U.N. of seeing a two-state solution being implemented."

"America is aligned with Israel on denying the rights of Palestinians. America is prolonging this conflict totally unnecessarily. And America does not walk the talk. America is wasting time and is allowing (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu to do whatever he wants to do, and is giving Netanyahu a carte blanche, giving Netanyahu an open check to go and kill more Palestinians – and does what he wants. This is not going to be the new Middle East. This is going to be a new disaster to come."

STORYLINE:
Palestinians on Friday voiced their dissatisfaction and rejection of the United States veto on a widely backed U.N. resolution that would have paved the way for full United Nations membership for Palestine.
It is a goal the Palestinians have long sought and Israel has worked to prevent.
The Thursday vote in the 15-member Security Council was 12 in favor, the United States opposed and two abstentions, from the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
In the West Bank city of Ramallah, Montaser al-Atrash, a man from Bethlehem, expressed his disappointment.
"We consider this decision to be firstly, an unfair decision to the Palestinian people," he said.
"This is not the first time that the Americans have used their veto against any project that benefits the Palestinian people," he added.
U.S. deputy ambassador Robert Wood told the Security Council that the veto "does not reflect opposition to Palestinian statehood but instead is an acknowledgment that it will only come from direct negotiations between the parties."
Wood stressed that the U.S. commitment to a two-state solution, where Israel and Palestinians live side-by-side in peace, is the only path for security for both sides and for Israel to establish relations with of all its Arab neighbors, including Saudi Arabia.
U.S. allies France, Japan and South Korea supported the resolution.
