Chimpanzees appear to have a sophisticated medicinal culture, seeking out plants with strong anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effects according to researchers.
Their study followed two chimp communities over several months, tracking the sick animals and the plants they searched for, apparently to heal themselves.
