Afghans mark first day of Eid with prayers

Kabul residents marked Eid al-Adha with special prayers on Monday, celebrating the second most important holiday in the Islamic calendar. Muslims traditionally mark Eid al-Adha, or Feast of Sacrifice, by offering special prayers and slaughtering livestock, usually a goat, sheep, a cow or a camel, to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s test of faith. #afghanistan #eid #news
