"Well, Tarantino films are very different in that, yes, they’re character-driven. So when you read a Tarantino script, you all of a sudden find yourself knowing you’re going to have a lot to say about who you are and how you feel about things. Rather than reading five pages of. ‘Okay, drive fast, look this way, that way, the car is going over a curb.’ So there are a lot more things that you have to embody as a character and bring with you to do it. So, the fact that I spent years and years and years in theater helped me a lot to embrace what Quentin does. And he appreciates it in another way because he knows that I’m used to giving speeches, and I like it."

"It’s lovely. It’s my history. It’s my DNA right there, you know? So, yeah, it was part of a classic moment. The predictability of it evolved. And now here we are. We’re—Ben (Mankiewicz) is comparing it to ‘Gone with the Wind’ and ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ as the third classic film that changed cinema history. And that’s important."

"I mean, tonight we’re here to celebrate ‘Pulp Fiction.’ Whatever he chooses to do is going to be as extraordinary as everything he’s done before. And I have to—we have a long career working together. And I have to respect and trust that he knows. I think they’re all special. I think everything he writes is great, but he knows what is going to be the perfect number 10."

"Well, probably nobody knows more about film and weird television than Quentin Tarantino. So yes, it was wonderful to work with him. He’s a great director and I was really honored and I wish I could do it again. I wish I could be in this last movie if he’s going to do another one."

"It was so much fun. It was just crazy. And I remember so clearly, Quentin sort of acting out what’s going to happen. And, you know, he took just such joy in the story that we all wanted to do our best. It was a—it was just a great experience. You know, it’s like a party or a concert that might have happened in college and it’s always stuck with you because it was just like the best time you’ve had."
