"I was so afraid of losing any of our memories. And I think that’s – the preservation of that has been, you know, in the work that I do. And it gives me so much joy to bring things like ‘Eruption’ to life, because it really does allow John Michael the opportunity to really know his father. Because if you think about it, everybody knows who Michael Crichton is — not (at) that age, but, you know, everybody else knows who Michael Crichton is. And it’s hard for him when people are like, ‘Oh my gosh, I knew your father. He was a…’ it’s hard. I would think that it would be a real hard comprehension of going, ‘Well, you know him, well I need to know him.’ So that’s a lot of why I do what I do. It’s really for the love of him and and Michael’s daughter Taylor."
