Slovak leaders vote in EU elections under shadow of PM’s assassination attempt

Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico voted in the EU elections in a hospital in Bratislava on Saturday, following the attempt on his life last month. Fico said on his Facebook page that the election was important because “it is necessary to vote for MEPs who will support peace initiatives and not the continuation of war.”
