STORYLINE:
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Thursday stressed the need for more air defense supplies for Ukraine.
"Time is of the essence," he told reporters, following the final day of an EU summit in Brussels that was focused on economic and social issues.
Addressing the arrests of two German-Russian men who were detained in Germany on suspicion of espionage, Scholz said "we can never accept that such espionage activities take place in Germany."
