" You know, when they fire up those engines, you can do simulation after simulation, but once those engines roar and you do the countdown, five, four, three, two, one, and it really does lift off, it’s a whole different experience."
(Reporter: "What about the drop down?)
That was the hardest part for me because you had five Gs, and at one point I got really lightheaded. I was actually worried that I was going to pass out. It didn’t last very long, and all I could think of was, god, please don’t let me be the one they carry out on a stretcher. Please, Jesus, don’t do that to me at this moment. But it was all good. It was all good. I felt very safe. I know there’s inherent danger there, I get it, but I felt so protected."

"I cannot be happy for the celebration, the success, because I feel that I’ve failed my mission. Any time, any day that the hostages are still in the tunnels and still in Gaza, I feel that I failed my missions. My partner is still in captivity, and as long as you’re still in captivity, I cannot heal, I can not celebrate, and I cannot… continue forward."

"Oh yeah, I mean, network news is dead. Virtually every single one of those people would trade places with me because they understand that being a platform player is yesterday’s news. The future is individual relationships between an anchor or a host and his or her audience. It’s just the way people consume news now, young people in particular, who — it’s all on their phones. They don’t want to sit in front of the box and watch the TV all day long. So, it’s just such a more relevant way of communicating information and you know they can take it in via the way I do it however they want. They can do YouTube, they can do podcasts, they could do vertical integrations like Instagram. It’s just easier and faster and a little hipper."

STORYLINE:
Gayle King, Megyn Kelly, Hozier and rescued Israeli hostage Noa Argamani were among the guests and honorees who attended the TIME100 Gala in New York Thursday.
The annual event celebrates individuals recognized by TIME magazine in its annual 100 most influential people issue. The list includes entertainers, athletes, world leaders, political figures, business, technology and innovation leaders, activists, artists, and more.
King spoke about her recent space flight, admitting the force of five Gs during drop down was the hardest part for her. "At one point I got really lightheaded. I was actually worried that I was going to pass out. It didn’t last very long," she said.
Argamani said her attendance at the gala was bittersweet because there are still hostages being held in Gaza including her partner. "I cannot be happy for the celebration, the success, because I feel that I’ve failed my mission. Any time, any day that the hostages are still in the tunnels and still in Gaza, I feel that I failed my missions," Argamani said.
