Hopes for safety in Germany are fading for Afghan refugees | DW News

In Pakistan, around 2,600 Afghans are waiting to be flown to Germany because they are particularly at risk from the Taliban. But charter flights bringing them to Europe as part of special refugee programs are currently suspended. The next German government says it wants to end the scheme. But many of those waiting to come here fled their homes and have lost everything. They say they cannot go back.
