Pope Francis’s body has arrived at Saint Peter’s Basilica where he will lie in state until his burial on Saturday. A short while ago a procession moved his body from Saint Martha’s House to the basilica. After a service, the Pope’s coffin will remain open and the public can pay their final respects. In a break with tradition, Pope Francis will not be buried in Saint Peter’s Basilica but at Saint Mary Major, a smaller Basilica outside the Vatican in Rome.
