A wind turbine blade proved to be too much cargo for the truck that was transporting it. While the truck negotiated a roadway maneuver, the blade said, "No thanks," and took the truck with it. The slow-motion accident happened in northwestern Turkey, in the Canakkale province. Wind power is a growing energy source for Turkey, accounting for about 10% of the nation’s power, from some 300 on-shore wind farms. It’s a reliable form of renewable energy, except for when things like this happen.
