US President Donald Trump’s tariffs put Chinese businesses ‘in limbo’ | BBC News

Businesses have been sharing their concerns about the impact of US tariffs at the annual Canton Fair in Guangzhou, the world’s longest running import-export fair.

Last week, US President Donald Trump temporarily paused the vast majority of tariffs after global stock markets tumbled, and a sell-off in the US bond market.

But he kept the import levies targeted at Chinese goods being shipped to the US. Beijing responded by imposing its own 125% levies on American imports.
