The trade war between the US and practically the rest of the world has taken a sudden turnaround – US president Donald Trump says he’s suspending reciprocal tariffs on most nations for 90 days. Chinese imports, though, were hiked further to 125 percent.
From the 34 percent tariff increase announced last week during what Trump called "Liberation Day", China has seen its tariff burden jump. Tariffs on imports from China stand at 125 percent on Wednesday. There may be a tariff ceasefire for most of the world now, but between the US and China, a full-blown trade war has broken out.
