"Primarily, the film takes place in the chamber of the Mercy Courts, but we had to shoot every bit of video that’s going to appear in evidence. And one of them is this pretty epic kind of fight sequence that happens in a bar right around the time that my character is being arrested. I’m on like a drunken bender, and I, we choreographed this amazing fight sequence where I get thrown against the wall and my right ankle smacked into this pole. It was like day two, and I really hurt my ankle. It was really damaged, it’s still pretty damaged. So, you know, it’s still a little, it’s still – I’m at that age now where I’m like, ‘Okay, that’s yeah, I’m gonna have that forever. That’s lives there forever’. So yeah. There you go."
(Reporter: "I’m sorry to hear that."
"That’s okay."

"Here we are. We’re going to leave a little blood on the field. Yeah. For sure."

"Gosh, I don’t know. I don’t know, you know, it’s all a big gamble. You know, you work hard, you try to tell great stories. And I’m drawn to, like, good filmmakers and great scripts. I also have an incredible team that I work with who have far better discernment than I do. My manager, Julia, has been with me since the beginning. She tends to help me make decisions around what I’m going to do. There’s no guarantees. You know, you just, you go out, you take risks, you make big swings. You hope that it connects and you move forward, you know. And so I think a film like this has real potential to to do really well at the box office. I think cinematically it’s just deserving of a big screen. And I know it’s funny because everybody says that, right? And I think everybody wants their stuff to be seen in the theater. And, you know, we’re in a time right now where there’s options to go streaming and there’s options to go at the box office. And I think this film specifically being on IMAX is going to heighten the experience tremendously. It’s visually really stunning. Timur’s (Bekmambetov) a real visionary. You know, I think it’s just a better experience to see it on a big screen, specifically this film as well, because the sound mix and all of the visuals that are created, that we created inside of this volume with, like all of this evidence living in and around me, being blown past my face, the big action sequences and all, it all fits well for for a big screen."

STORYLINE:
Chris Pratt says he did not watch the live cast announcement for the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday."
"I did not. I couldn’t, I was in Africa," explained the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star, who began filming season two of "The Terminal List" in March.
Marvel announced its cast a series of social media videos that the company rolled out slowly on Wednesday.
Pratt was speaking at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, at an event to promote upcoming Amazon MGM Studios releases.
"Mercy" is slated for release in January 2026.
